How Are Our Veterans Treated?
"The
willingness with which our young people are likely to serve in any war,
no matter how justified, shall be directly proportional to how they
perceive how the Veterans of earlier wars were treated and appreciated
by their Nation"
-- General George Washington, Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army, November 10, 1781
Did he forsee how elected officials might someday fail to understand this lessons and treat our Veterans like spent hired hands?
-- General George Washington, Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army, November 10, 1781
It's Time for Your Voice to Make a Difference
2014 Republican Precinct Meetings.
We are starved for time, concerned for our community, and cynical of being able to get elected officials to do the right thing. A local group producing results in the face of these challenges is the Douglas County Republicans. This January 29th, Republicans in Douglas County have a critical, once-every-two-year opportunity, to define the Republican Party.

Citizens Demand Congress End Libyan Military Action
The American People resolve that they demand Congress immediately rise
up and stop all U.S. participation in Libyan hostilities. No de-funding
legislation can get through since both houses of Congress have to pass
that and it subject to a presidential veto. However under section 1544
(c) a simple joint resolution can stop hostilities immediately. We also
demand that Congress take action to revise the War Powers Resolution to
make it more clear and restrictive on a president. Together we must rise
against continued United States engagement in Libya in violation of the
War Powers Resolution.
